Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal

The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal was established by executive order on November 6, 1941, and was awarded to any member of the United States military who served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater from December 7, 1941, to March 2, 1946. The medal was designed by Thomas Hudson Jones and is bronze with an annulet in the shape of a sunburst. The front of the medal depicts a relief of the United States Capitol surrounded by a wreath, and the reverse depicts an eagle standing on a laurel wreath and arrows. The ribbon is orange with blue stripes.
