The Philippine Defense Medal is a medal of the Philippines that was created through an executive order by Philippine President Elpidio Quirino on December 16, 1950. The medal is awarded to any member of the Philippine military who participated in the defense of the Philippines between December 7, 1941, and June 15, 1942, or between October 17, 1944, and September 2, 1945.
