    The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Jonas Howard Ingram (NSN: 0-6587), United States Navy, for distinguished conduct in battle during the engagement of Vera Cruz, Mexico, 22 April 1914. During the second day’s fighting the service performed by Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Ingram was eminent and conspicuous. He was conspicuous for skillful and efficient handling of the artillery and machineguns of the Arkansas Battalion, for which he was specially commended in reports.
