William E. Boehle

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to William E. Boehle, Private, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Crezancy, France, July 15 – 16, 1918. After his company had withdrawn from their position, Private Boehle voluntarily returned to the former position, and throughout the night of July 15-16 assisted in evacuating the wounded.
