Raymond Chambers

The Navy Cross is awarded to Water Tender Raymond Chambers, U.S. Navy, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service, and marked efficiency, courage, and zeal in the performance of duty in the fireroom of the U.S.S. Mount Vernon after that ship was torpedoed in the Atlantic Ocean on September 5, 1918.
