Nugent Fallon

The Navy Cross is awarded to Lieutenant (j.g.) Nugent Fallon, U.S. Navy (Reserve Forces), for distinguished and heroic service as an aviator of a seaplane operating with the Royal Air Force Station at Felixstowe, England. Lieutenant Nugent participated in several successful offensive patrols over the North Sea and made one of the first experimental flights from towing lighters. He made one raid over Heligoland Bight, in company with several other British seaplanes during which one enemy seaplane was destroyed.
