Archie E. Glann

The Navy Cross is awarded to Lieutenant Archie E. Glann, U.S. Navy, for extraordinary heroism as an officer of the U.S.S. O-6 when that vessel was fired upon in an awash condition and hulled six times, on August 7,1918, in going on deck while the vessel was under fire, to signal and to open up the conning tower, which was flooded and inaccessible from below.
