Hugh Miller

The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Boatswain’s Mate Hugh Miller, United States Navy, for gallant and heroic conduct in jumping overboard from the U.S.S. Quinnebaug, at Alexandria, Egypt, on the morning of 21 November 1885, and assisting in saving a shipmate from drowning.
