Jean M. H. Charron

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Jean M. H. Charron, Second Lieutenant, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action north of Daucourt, France, September 14 – 15, 1918. After maintaining contact with the enemy all night in an outpost position near the Bois-des-Hautes, Epines, Lieutenant Charron, by skillful maneuvering, led his platoon in a successful attack on the wood, capturing 35 prisoners, including 3 officers, advancing the line more than a kilometer.
