Benigme V. M. J. Corbabon

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Benigme V. M. J. Corbabon, Major, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action in the assault upon the German position at the Salient-du-Feys, France, on March 9, 1918, during which three hostile lines of trenches were overrun. Major Corbabon voluntarily joined Company D, 168th Infantry, while this company was undergoing a severe fire from the enemy lasting three hours. His coolness and conspicuous courage had a marked effect on the behavior of this organization.
