John Broxup

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to John Broxup, Private, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 55th Company, 5th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action near St. Etienne, France, October 4, 1918. Private Broxup succeeded in bringing a wounded officer back to our lines when his company was forced to a new position by superior numbers.
