Montague (0-81197), Major, U.S. Marine Corps, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action during the period from June 1970 through March 1973, while being confined as a Prisoner of War. By his courage, aggressive fighting spirit and steadfast devotion to duty in the face of extreme personal danger, Major Montague upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
