    The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Samuel Glucksman, Private, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 78th Company, 6th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action at Blanc Mont, France, October 3, 1918. After capturing a prisoner, Private Glucksman forced his captive to lead him to a dug-out containing twenty of the enemy, whom he also captured. Later, after being wounded, he returned to the front line, after securing first-aid treatment, and continued in action until his wound forced him to be evacuated.
