Salvadoran Civil War
The Salvadoran Civil War (1980–1992) was an armed conflict between the U.S.-backed Salvadoran government and the leftist guerrilla coalition FMLN (Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front). Rooted in deep inequality, political repression, and decades of instability. It caused the deaths of 75,000 people, displaced millions, and triggered mass migration to the United States and other countries.
