The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Daniel T. Brosnahan, Private, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near St. Juvin, France, October 16, 1918. On three different occasions Private Brosnahan advanced under heavy machine-gun and artillery fire to a point considerably in advance of our front lines and rescued wounded comrades, bringing them safely back to our lines.
