Edward A. Brown

The Navy Cross is presented to Edward A. Brown, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy, for extraordinary heroism and fearless devotion to duty. Although he realized the imminence of great peril, Lieutenant Commander Brown continued at his post in an endeavor to check the spread of the disaster, thereby losing his life.
