Edward Decernea

The Navy Cross is awarded to Ensign Edward DeCernea, U.S. Navy (Reserve Forces), for distinguished and heroic service in the line of his profession as pilot of seaplanes engaged on anti-submarine patrol and especially for an attack upon an enemy submarine on August 13, 1918, in which the submarine is believed to have been destroyed.
