    The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Felix Bird, Private, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Consenvoye, France, October 9, 1918. Advancing alone against a dugout, Private Bird captured forty-nine of the enemy, and killed one officer, who attempted to escape.
