Fred O. Goldsmith

The Navy Cross is awarded to Lieutenant (j.g.) Fred O. Goldsmith, U.S. Navy (Reserve Forces), for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service while in command of the U.S.S. John Collins, engaged in the important and hazardous work of clearing the North Sea of mines.
