George H. Croll

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to George H. Croll, Private, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 83d Company, 6th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action in Chennery, France, on November 2, 1918. Private Croll courageously entered three dug-outs alone and captured thirty-four of the enemy.
