George H. Earle

The Navy Cross is awarded to Lieutenant (j.g.) George H. Earl, U.S. Navy (Reserve Forces), for distinguished service in the line of his profession as commanding officer of the U.S.S. Victor on the occasion of a fire on board that vessel at sea, when, due to his heroic and inspiring leadership, coolness and prompt action, the ship was saved, and no lives lost.
