The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to S SGT Glen E. Good (then Ofc), 116th Inf, US Army, for gallantry in action against the enemy in Germany. On 5 December 1944 during a series of enemy counterattacks against Company “L”, 116th Infantry, S SGT Good made eight trips through enemy mini fields under sniper fire carrying ammunition to the forward elements of the company. During one engagement, S SGT Good maneuvered a group of men into firing positions and repelled enemy flame thrower teams, attempting to penetrate an exposed flank. Undaunted by the enemy fire, S SGT Good on numerous occasions volunteered for assignments which contributed materially to the success achieved by the company. His actions reflect great credit upon himself and the Military Service. Entered Military Service from Idaho.
