Holger E. Berg

The Navy Cross is awarded to Lieutenant Commander Holger E. Berg, U.S. Navy (Reserve Forces), for distinguished services as executive officer of the U.S.S. Lake Forest during an engagement between that ship and an enemy submarine as a result of which engagement it is believed that the submarine was severely damaged.
