When informed that the fire of an enemy machine gun emplacement had ambushed and held up friendly vehicles at a roadblock not far from their gun position, Corporal Indelicato, an Antitank Company squad leader, and a comrade voluntarily went forward and completed a thorough reconnaissance of the terrain about the hostile position. The two men returned and brought up the refire of the squad, Corporal Indelicato and his companions courageously crawled forward and, with accurate rifle fire, wounded one man of the enemy machine gun crew and forced the rest of the hostile crew to surrender. His courage, resourcefulness and loyal devotion to duty reflect the highest credit upon Corporal Indelicato and the armed forces of the United States.
