Jean Magon De La Giclais

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Jean Magon De La Giclais, First Lieutenant of Cavalry, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in the action of March 5, 1918, near Pexonne, France. Although he might have remained in a place of safety, Lieutenant Giclais went to the position of Battery C, 151st Field Artillery, when it was under bombardment by accurately adjusted artillery, and by his courage and coolness, assisted the officers and men of the command.
