Jean R. Tribot-Laspierre

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Jean R. Tribot-Laspierre, Captain, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Bois-de-Belleau, France, June 6, 1918. Although suffering severely from shell shock and the effects of gas, Captain Tribot-Laspierre made his way from the 6th Regiment to the 5th Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps, through very heavy and effective fire, with information of great importance.
