  • The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Landsman John Enright, United States Navy, for gallant and heroic conduct while serving on board the U.S.S. RANGER off Ensenada, Mexico, 18 January 1886. Jumping overboard from that vessel, Landsman Enright rescued John Bell, Ordinary Seaman, and George Svensson, Ordinary Seaman, from drowning.
