John Kukoski

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to John Kukoski, Private, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 49th Company, 5th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action at Chateau-Thierry, France, on June 6, 1918. Alone, Private Kukoski charged a machine-gun and with the utmost bravery captured it and its crew, including one officer.
