The President of the United States takes pride in presenting the Silver Star Medal (Posthumously) to Lawrence Harville (1640020), Gunnery Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action while serving with Company M, 3d Battalion, 5th Marines, FIRST Marine Division, during combat operations against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam on 9 May 1968.
