Lorenzo Dow Brown

The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Private Lorenzo Dow Brown, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 9 August 1877, while serving with Company A, 7th U.S. Cavalry, in action at Big Hole, Montana. After having been severely wounded in right shoulder, Private Brown continued to do duty in a most courageous manner.
