Oliver Chevalier
The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Oliver Chevalier, Captain, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Champagne, France, July 15 – 16 and near the Ourcq River, France, July 28 to August 2, 1918. Captain Chevalier displayed extraordinary heroism and conspicuous gallantry in making daily reconnaissances of the front lines, under unusually heavy machine-gun and artillery fire, rendering valuable aid to the division to which he was attached.
