The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Peter P. Bosone, Sergeant, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action during the Argonne offensive, France, September 26 to October 12, 1918. Sergeant Bosone was knocked unconscious by shell fire, but after recovering immediately continued in action, thus setting a good example of devotion to duty to his men.
