Roy P. Emrick

The Navy Cross is awarded to Commander Roy P. Emrick, U.S. Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession in command of the U.S.S. Barry and later the U.S.S. Gregory, engaged in the important, exacting and hazardous duty of escorting troops and cargo ships through waters infested by enemy submarines and mines.
