Stacy R. Flowers

The Navy Cross is awarded to Engineman First class Stacy R. Flowers, U.S. Navy, for extraordinary heroism on September 19, 1918. Engineman Flowers, at his own risk of life, performed most meritorious service to the Government in entering the engine room of the U.S.S. Cuyama on September 19, 1918, when filled with ammonia fumes, and performed rescue and repair work.
