    The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Theodore K. Bushnell, Second Lieutenant, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Fleville, France, October 5, 1918. Lieutenant Bushnell showed exceptional bravery by remaining with his platoon after being wounded. He refused evacuation until he received a second wound, the nature of which demanded his immediate return to the rear.
