The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Drummer William H. Horsfall, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 21 May 1862, while serving with Company G, 1st Kentucky Infantry, in action at Corinth, Mississippi. Drummer Horsfall saved the life of a wounded officer lying between the lines.
