Willmot, Gunnery Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 47th Company, 5th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action near Barricourt, France, November 1 – 2, 1918. Sergeant Wilmot established an outpost under heavy enemy fire and by cool leadership and unusual daring effected the capture of a hostile machine gun and five prisoners.
