Francois Brelier

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Francois Brelier, Warrant Officer, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Kemmel, Belgium, April 26, 1918. Attacking the strongly fortified position on Mount Kemmel, Adjutant Brelier, although wounded, continued to struggle until his position had been established, On no less than eight occasions he led patrols into enemy lines, and each time inspired those under his command by his bravery and intrepidity.
