Georges Dormoy

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Georges Dormoy, Marechal des Logis, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near St. Mihiel, France, September 12, 1918. Lieutenant (then Marechal des Logis) Dormoy demonstrated marked courage in leading his platoon in an attack on a strong center of resistance. Running ahead of his men, he was the first to enter the enemy trench, where he captured more than 60 prisoners.
