Maurice Lano

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Maurice Lano, Captain of Artillery, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Mouson, France, November 7, 1918. Captain Lano, with another officer, made a most hazardous reconnaissance of the enemy positions along the Meuse River and supplied valuable information of these positions. During the entire exploit they were constantly under enemy observation and heavy fire of their guns.
