Rene H. Le Coin

The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Rene H. Le Coin, Interpreter, French Army, for extraordinary heroism in action near Cantigny, France, May 28 – 30, 1918. During the critical operations around Cantigny, Interpreter Le Coin was constantly on duty at an observation post. Seeing a group of men retreating in disorder, he rushed to them, stopped their retreat, and returned them to their positions on the line.
