The Women's Army Corps Service Medal is a military award that was created to recognize the service of women in the United States Army. The medal is awarded to any woman who has served in the Army, either in a combat zone or in a support role, for a period of at least six months. The medal is also awarded to any woman who has been a member of the Army Reserve or National Guard for at least six years.
